April 29: Big Water Spring Gathering
You are invited to "Healing of the Nations” at Park UMC in Brainerd on Saturday, April 29, 2023, 9am-2:30pm. Guest Speaker will be Rev. Dawn Houser, Pastor at Atkin UMC & Chair of MN Conference Committee on Native American Ministry (CONAM). Registration Fee is $20 with walk-ins $25. Email to request a registration form.
April 29: River Valley Spring Gathering
River Valley will hold its Spring Gathering at Northfield United Methodist Church on April 29. Morning speaker, Gina Washburn from Northfield, will talk about issues facing migrants, based on her own knowledge and six-year experiences focused on issues facing the local migrant community. Last fall she traveled to the US/Mexican border to “bear witness to the conditions at our border.”
Rev. Pamela Ngunjiri, Co-Director of Racial Justice for the Minnesota Council of Churches, will speak in the afternoon on Truth Telling and Reparations. Her eight years of experience pastoring historically Black Churches and decades of involvement in racially, culturally, and ethnically diverse communities prepare her for her work in Minnesota

Products for Emma Norton will also be collected. Registration ($20) includes lunch and can be done online or by mail. Email for more info.
Southern Prairie Spring Gathering
Southern Prairie will gather on April 22 at Belgrade UMC in North Mankato from 9:30am-3:30pm. The cost is only $15. We will gather dignity kits for UMCOR. Guest Speaker, Rev. Dawn Hauser (Pastor at Aitkin UMC & Chair of MN Conference CONAM), will speak about the "Indigenous and Native Missing Women Walk" planned for May. Click here for registration info. April 22: Twin Cities Spring Gathering
TC District invites you to join us on April 22, 3-7 pm for a Sacred Sites Tour. The tour will start at Church of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mendota Heights and carpool to Ft. Snelling State Park, State park parking permit ($7 per vehicle) required. The next stop is Pilot Knob Hill and then return to Church of St. Peter. At each stop, we will hear stories of the Dakota people and their history connected to these sites. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
Suggested donation and registration fee of $30-$50 supports the Healing Minnesota Stories program of the Minnesota Council of Churches. Register by April 15 at https://docs.google.com/forms/
